¿Hola Hivevloggers como están? Bendiciones Infinitas para ustedes.

.

Hello Hivevloggers, how are you? Infinite blessings to you all.

.

You can play, listen to, and enjoy the gaita all year round, which is why this personal cover section is named after it. Other friends are also welcome to join in and share my passion..

These two gentlemen were friends through thick and thin, two creative geniuses but misunderstood by gaita purists who resisted change and the evolution of music.

.

The gaitera band Guaco brings this song to the forefront, dedicated to all the gaiteros and radio programs that called them the destroyers of Zuliana gaita for embellishing it, especially maestro Nerio Franco, who had that nickname..

D Total Zulianidad, a group from the city of Caracas, pays tribute to the band Guaco alongside the great Oscar Arriaga.

.

The original soloist on the song is the great Argenis Carruyo. For me, it is a real delight to listen to Guaco's songs; it has always been like going to a fine restaurant..

Here is Koquito, my peopleeeeeeeee..

For you, Gaita, you will always be Gaita..

May the Lord and the saints bless me.

¿Hola Hivevloggers como están? Bendiciones Infinitas para ustedes.

.

Hello Hivevloggers, how are you? Infinite blessings to you all..

Every day, I think about how to give a new nuance to Zulian gaita music, listening to it and analyzing it at length..

Among all that baggage of themes, music, and nuances, I have determined something: you can listen to gaita music all year round.

.

This rich Venezuelan musical genre has many impressive and catchy themes that make it the queen mother of Venezuelan folklore. Almost 70% of its repertoire consists of songs that do not refer to Christmas, and as happens in many traditional musical evolutionary processes, everything changes constantly, forgive the redundancy.

.

So we are starting 2026 with this new section that I have titled “All Year Round,” closing the cycle of the 60s and 70s when gaita was played from October to December, and the 80s and 90s when it was played from July to December. Today we listen to it ALL YEAR ROUND.

.

That's why I've invited my friend Juaquin to play this delightful song by Gaiteros de Pillopo entitled No Mojo Pero Empapo, sung and composed by the great Luis Escaray, a visionary of the gaita.

.

This version is from the 25th Anniversary album. .

Happy start to 2026!.

Here's Koquito, my friends!.

For you, No Mojo Pero Empapo..

May the Lord and the saints bless me. !

¿Hola Hivevloggers como están? Bendiciones Infinitas para ustedes.

.

.

-

Aquí está Koquito mi genteeeeeeeee.

.

Para ustedes La Voy a Tocar a Pie.

.

Hello Hivevloggers, how are you? Infinite blessings to you all..

Today, December 31, marks the end of the old year and the beginning of a new phase.

.

I learned a lot this year, but the most important thing I learned is that sometimes less is more. Owning fewer things in all areas makes you freer as an individual. For all these falls and lessons learned, I thank God. .

All Year is my section on Hive where I will be promoting the queen of folklore, the Zuliana gaita, in 2026. .

.

So we're off to a good start with this magnificent song written by Luis Escaray, a song that originated precisely at a gaita event in 2007 where the lights went out on stage and a man shouted desperately to Luis, “Play it on foot, on foot,” which in context would mean without electronic instruments, only with the traditional and indigenous gaita.

.

The bagpipe would become a hit throughout the country..

La Voy a Tocar a Pie.

Happy New Year to everyone with the hand of God..

-

Here's Koquito, my friends..

For you, La Voy a Tocar a Pie..

May the Lord and the Virgin of Chiquinquirá bless you all.

¿Hola Hivevloggers como están? Bendiciones Infinitas para ustedes.

.

Hello Hivevloggers, how are you? Infinite blessings to you all..

You could say that I am a purebred bagpiper, a topic that makes for a somewhat egocentric reflection but leaves a message..

The bagpipe piece I am playing below is by Amador “Chicho” and Jesus “Chuchi” Bermudez, the Bermudez Brothers.

These brothers emphasize the importance of highlighting our heritage, our folklore, even with the blood that runs through our veins to play the bagpipes..

Many people believe that they are bagpipers just because they move their hands and hold an instrument, but we owe respect to all those people who, with their blood, have sown and reaped within the bagpipes, step by step, rung by rung, if you'll pardon the redundancy.

.

All musical genres are worthy of respect due to their rhythmic, harmonic, and melodic complexities. That is why I wake up every day to study and perfect my techniques; I am a purebred gaitero..

I am not making these comments to belittle anyone; I just believe that I am a fan of the gaita who wants to learn more every day.

.

This song is from the album Siglo 21 by the Caracas-based Zuliana group Happy Gaita, and the cuatro was recorded by one of my tutors, the great maestro Ramir Salazar. .

Siglo 21 is a gaita album that made history.

¿Hola Hivevloggers como están? Bendiciones Infinitas para ustedes.

.

Simón García has beautiful songs; he is one of my favorite Zulian gaita composers. He is always on my list of top composers, despite his very simple compositions, which connect with the audience. To this day, he is one of our most important references.

.

To be honest, I didn't have a specific song in mind for this week's Vibes, but as always, I started digging through gaita songs and found this new version of the song Mi Nostalgia performed by DKD, a new gaita group made up of excellent musicians.

.

DKD pays tribute to the greats, this time to the great Ricardo Cepeda El Colosal, and I was struck by this very modern and emotional version for the year 2025..

Thank you, Simón García, for leaving us your legacy as a composer and gaitero singer. I am very grateful to you, wherever you are.

¿Hola Hivevloggers como están? Bendiciones Infinitas para ustedes.

.

Hello Hivevloggers, how are you? Infinite blessings to you all..

Wealth is thought of or seen as something material. .

One of man's oldest pursuits is the pursuit of wealth, and we spend most of our lives searching for that false wealth in the material or trivial things in life, whether it be vices, bad passions, money, among many other things.

.

But let me tell you that the most important wealth is spiritual and human..

That is why part of our wealth in this world is sharing with great friends and family, so on this occasion, in Hive Open Mic Week No. 286, I bring you a cover with a friend who I believe God put in my life.

.

Leonardito Silva, a native of Cabimas, Zulia state, is one of the promising young talents of Zulian gaita music. He is only 17 years old, but at his young age he has worked with the greats of gaita music, such as Ricardo Cepeda, Danello Badell, Luis Angel Aguirre, Barrio Obrero de Cabimas, among other groups and gaita musicians, too many to name them all.

.

Friendship is part of our wealth as humans, and we must preserve it..

This song is by the great Nelson Martinez, a musical idol for us gaiteros, the only one from eastern Zulia..

This song is from the 1975 album Candela y Candela (Los Reyes de La Tamborera Vol. 2)..

A magnificent gaita to dance to and enjoy life.

.

Every day we work to achieve our goals, which is also part of seeking wealth and purpose in life. .

Here's Koquito, my friends..

For you, Shombale Feat Leonardito Silva from Cabimas..

This is my first presentation at this music festival, asking hivers like @mirel0510 how I managed to upload my first video.

.

This group has always been the talk of the town for many years, Venezuela's super band Guaco; innovative masters in all aspects of Latin American popular music, earning the title of embellishers of the Zuliana gaita. ..

Although this song has a message lacking in depth in its rhythm, it is very tasty apart from the interpretation I give it today.

.

It is sung by the great Ricardo Portillo, one of my favorite composers in the history of gaita..

The composer of this gaita is the great Simón García..

This very humorous and cheerful song was composed by the great Nelson Martínez back in 1972, without any illusions, but who would have known that Nelson would become the most Zulian oriental in the history of gaita music? .

.
