Alcohol and drugs can be a slippery slope. As an alcoholic or drug user, you may not want to be labeled as such, and you may not want to go to the doctor for your addiction because of the stigma attached. However, it is important to remember that your feelings do not matter. Your feelings may not matter because it is unlikely that anything will change the core problem of the addiction. You might think that if you wish hard enough everything will change, but that's not how it works.
