A wise person once said to truly understand something, you must start from the beginning.

We're sure someone smart said something close to that at some point in time. The point is, we go back to where it all started and do a bit of a deep dive into the original game, Mortal Kombat (1992). After 24 long years, a new Mortal Kombat movie is just around the corner. With only a couple weeks left before the premiere of the new movie, we wanted to take a look back at the long road that lead to this reboot, from the scrapped third movie to Rebirth and the creation of the Legacy series. We also talk about how hyped we are for the new movie and what we hope to see.
