  • Koopa Kast Episode 58 – Unpredictable
You’ve heard from James Higginbotham and Justin Sharp, now it is time other staffers got in on the prediction party.  Join series host Matt and series regulars Justin Sharp and Alex Schramke to discuss what is on their lists of what moves Nintendo could be making here in 2015. You can check out Justin’s list right here: https://purenintendo.com/2015/01/03/ja….  Matt and Alex have decided to keep his list a secret until the podcast, so you’ll just need to wait. Of course we can’t say who is wrong or who is right, but we would like to know who you think is closer to the mark this upcoming year.
As always, if you have questions for the podcast, you can use the Google Plus Q&A App, or you can tweet to @Purely_Matt using the hashtag #KoopaKast.

  • Koopa Kast 57 In My Defense – Greatest Zelda Game
The “In My Defense” series returns with something to induce maybe a bit of a disagreement between the staff: Which game in the Legend of Zelda series stands out among the rest?  Today’s panel hosts Matt, Justin Sharp, J-Money Hinton, and Trevor Gould.
    Matt’s Defense – Majora’s Mask
Justin Sharp’s Defense – Twilight Princess
    J-Money’s Defense – Wind Waker
    Trevor’s Defense – A Link Between Worlds
Of course, every Zelda game is a winner (except perhaps, those CD-I titles), but maybe, just maybe, one stands above the rest….
The Koopa Kast is PureNintendo’s bi-weekly podcast that takes place at 8:30PM EST, and features a rotating cast of PureNintendo staff members.

  • Koopa Kast Episode 56 – Series and Sequels
This time, we will be talking about how we tackle games that are sequels or as part of a series. As Nintendo fans, we definitely have experience with reviewing games as part of a series.  With series’ such as The Legend of Zelda and Mario Bros, it has come across many our minds of how to review them.  Do we look for improvements, or should we judge this as a separate game?  This can get really complicated if the reviewer doesn’t have experience with previous entries. So how do we do it? Stay tuned to tonight’s Koopa Kast to find out!
Tonight’s panelists are Matt, James, Alex, and Tristan.  Stay tuned for the Koopa Kast at 8:30PM EST.

  • Koopa Kast Episode 54 – In My Defense

    Hey Koopa Kast Listeners!
It’s almost that time once again where we here at PureNintendo.com have our bi-weekly live podcast, “Koopa Kast”.  With Hyrule Warriors behind us, and Smash Bros 3DS just two days away, Justin Sharp will dive into these two large Nintendo titles.  Luckily, they both have something to do with fighting, so we have a theme!

  • Koopa Kast Episode 52 – Why Aren’t We Allowed in the Treehouse?
Hey Koopa Kast Fans! We are a short time away from PureNintendo.com’s bi-weeklky podcast, Koopa Kast. This week, we plan to talk about Nintendo of America’s latest broadcast, Nintendo Treehouse. In the span of eight hours, Nintendo showed off a plethora of upcoming games for both the Wii U and 3DS. Since many people didn’t have time to watch the whole thing, and since we didn’t get invited to the Treehouse (again), the staff of PureNintendo.com will run down what happened at the Smash Bros. Conference Room in Redmond, Washington.
For you celebratory-types, if you look at your watch, you’ve noticed that September 15th was the 13th anniversery of the GCN for JPN (see what I did there?). To celebrate, we are going to talk about the legacy of the GameCube, and our favorite memories with the system.
Questions? Comments? Great! Let us know below, and we may read them on the podcast. You can also e-mail us at [email protected]

  • Koopa Kast Episode 50
Well here we are about to enter our 50th Koopa Kast.  All the big names are here: Justin Sharp, James Higginbotham, Justin “j-Money” Hinton”, Trevor Gould, Thomas Jones, Tristan Meiman, and Matt Paxton.  Since it is a special occasion, we are going to be a bit more relaxed this time around, and talk about PNM’s history, how we got into games journalism, and share any cool stories we have about working in this industry.
We also have a game give-away code for our viewers that we will read during the podcast:
Armillo from Fuzzy Wuzzy Games.  We’re not going to tell you when we will read off the code, so you’ll just have to stay tuned.
In the meantime, if you have any questions for us, you can leave them in the comments below.  Alternatively, you can also check us out in the Q&A app we will have going on Google Plus.

  • Koopa Kast Episode 49
Here we are at Koopa Kast 49.  We have a few interesting topics for you this week:
    – The new Zelda Warriors trailer, including the introduction of Gannondorf. Also Fi is apparently pronounced “F-eye”
    –  Dan Adelman, Head of Digital Content and Development, has left Nintendo to form his own Indie studio.  When he worked at Nintendo, Adelman helped spearhead getting indie titles onto Nintendo Platforms.
    –   Nintendo has decided to release a new Mega Man every thursday this month for the Wii U; Battle Network, Mega Man 4, Mega Man 5, and Mega Man X3
    –   Nintendo has registered three trademarks as a part of their “Quality of Life” initiative. How much will Nintendo focus on this new initiative? How much should they focus in this new initiative?
