technique A:

  1. create an empty sample called 'midi out'
  2. assign it to the (midi)tracks you want to use
  3. make sure to set 'Audio Thru' to 'on' in global settings
  4. profit!

    5. technique B (adds realtime FX):

    1. set 'Audio Thru' to 'off' in global settings
    2. set track 16 to sample 'Audio in'
    3. record an infinite note on track 16
    4. apply effects to track 16
    5. profit!

      6. NOTE: I prefer technique A because: I'm lazy + I use my midi-channels as a temporary vehicle to trigger outboard midi-gear (to sample sequenced phrases easily, and resample them later with FX).
