We’ve arrived at the Finale! Our remaining chefs Daniel, Danielle, and J are asked to create multiple courses meant to explain why they feel they deserve to win The Big Brunch and what they would do with the money to help with these goals. This ep had us asking about multiple sauces so we figured we better look into it and of course provide you with some info regarding these. So now we all know what Ponzu Sauce, Tamari Sauce, and XO Sauce are. This was not only a great episode, but a super fun series to review and recap. It’s the Semi-Finals and that means it’s time to switch it up. This week, we begin making food to feed a family as opposed to just three judges. And our main is also in the familial vein with the chef’s being expected to create a full family sized meal. If no one went home last week, years of cookery show watching has proven that two will have to leave this week and that is certainly what occurred. We also take a look at what it means to be who you are in relation to food and culture. As always, it’s a burner of an episode and we know y’all will enjoy. Y’all, this episode was so frustrating to watch. Like, it was a lot of yelling at the TV in disappointment at what our beloved chefs were doing. It was also, a super fun episode that kind of had us questioning the judges by the end. The team had company over this week and the chefs wanted to show out for him but that wasn’t the brief. How do they make up for embarrassing the parents when guests are visiting? Should anyone refer to something they make as “famous”? What should we be calling vegan meat replacements?
