St. Ignatius of Loyola founded the Jesuits, also known as the Society of Jesus, and they spread throughout the world running everything from hospitals to universities. Pope Francis is a Jesuit and there are even some prominent Jesuits on Catholic Radio! One of them is Fr. Mitch Pacwa, host of EWTN Live on EWTN TV and Radio and the Wednesday host of EWTN Open Line on EWTN Radio. He joins Al Kresta to talk about the life of St. Ignatius and how the Jesuit order came to be.

For decades, Al Kresta captivated listeners with conversations of consequence on the Things That Matter Most. With the New York Times in one hand and the Catechism of the Catholic Church in the other, he helped us to Build the Church and Bless the Nation.
Shortly after his death from cancer in June 2024, Ave Maria Radio retired the Kresta in the Afternoon program. The archives of the program are available here.
