History recognizes today as the day the prophet Muhammad died. While the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament are understood to be related texts, the sacred scripture of Islam, the third Abrahamic faith, has generally been considered separately. Many people don’t realize how Jewish and Christian figures, including the Blessed Mother, as well as other religious imagery feature prominently in the Qur’an. But the Qu’ran contains almost no direct quotes – so how did its author discover these figures? We’ll take a closer look with Dr. Gabriel Reynolds.
