Her work covers dark territory about sex workers, the men who try to possess them, and other sketchy and scary happenings in the American underbelly. This discussion runs the gamut from terror to true crime, examining not only Garth’s work, but the type of real life horror that inspires everything from Ti West’s X, PEARL, and MAXXXINE, to FREEWAY (1996) or BARBARIAN, to Aron Beauregard’s viral extreme horror lit hit PLAYGROUND. But no spoilers here as we delve into Garth’s new collection DADDY, coming soon from Anxiety Press, and her previous book YOU DON’T WANT THIS.
