A man is in critical condition after an officer-involved shooting last night in Carrollton. Police stopped a vehicle along Belt Line Road near Webb Chapel and were investigating possible drug-related crimes when officers say the driver, identified as Keith Kemp of Paris, Texas, got out of the vehicle with a handgun aimed at his head threatening to kill himself.

The Austin Police department says the man who opened fire at a Target store killing three people chose his victims at random. Investigators say 32-year-old Ethan Nieneker claimed he was 'Jesus' when initially questioned by police and he obtained the firearm through a family member.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott says he will call another special session immediately following the end of the first one if House Democrats don't return to Austin. The House and Senate are planning to adjourn on Friday, so the governor says he'll keep lawmakers in Austin for at least another 30 days.

A Plano man will likely die in prison after a judge passes down a sentence for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child. Plano Police began investigating after a 13-year-old victim told a therapist about the abuse.

Garland Police have identified the man who was found dead in his jail cell over the weekend. 31-year-old William Hunter Kimbrough of Allen was found unresponsive and was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A new bond package at Mesquite ISD will bring some changes as students head back to class this week.
