An advocacy group pushing for independent redistricting commissions is getting involved in the redistricting fight in Texas. Common Cause refers to itself as an organization that uses grassroots efforts as well as legal and legislative action to stand up to special interests.

Several concerned citizens and advocates, many of whom were democrats, gathered outside Monday evening’s redistricting public hearing to protest the movement. Both political leaders on the national and state level spoke at the rally in an open parking lot near the building where the hearing was held Monday afternoon at the University of Texas at Arlington campus.

The FBI has announced the seizure of nearly $2-million in cryptocurrency they say is related to a ransomware attack. The bureau filed a civil complaint in the Northern District of Texas seeking the forfeiture of over $1.7 million worth of cryptocurrency that was seized by the Dallas office in April.

An Arlington police officer and another driver were hospitalized after a crash Friday morning. The crash happened around 9:50am near the intersection of South Cooper Street and the Eastbound I-20 frontage road.

The Democratic National Committee is targeting republican districts, including in Texas, with new ads on the Epstein files. One of the districts they are targeting is Texas 21 which is the district represented by Congressman Chip Roy.
