Mr Barbieri is probably best known for his tours of duty with two of Great Britain’s most important and enduring artbands: Japan and Porcupine Tree, he also makes his own solo records with a few choice chums. His newie is the follow-up to the expansive ‘Planets + Persona’, an introspective lucid mood piece entitled ‘Under A Spell’, which dovetails nicely with the new breed of Bandcamp bedroom heroes and the Streatham nu-jazz scene.
