Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party. in today's episode, I sit down to go over the history of Carl Douglas's iconic song "Kung Fu Fighting" which turned 50 this year. As I explore the history of the composition of the song, I also explore the history of the term "chopsocky" which contributed to the popularity of the song. After looking over the song's status as a one-hit wonder and the various groups who have covered the song, I breakdown the lyrics to help us better understand the story of this song. And of course, I over use the word "cats" and "funky" just to annoy you.
