We talked about his job as a historian, what brought Magellan to these islands, the controversy surrounding the site of the First Mass in the Philippines (and how he became part of solving the puzzle!) and a curious personal encounter with legit royalty.

For Part 2, we will discuss the most mysterious, miraculous AND controversial event in the last century: the alleged apparitions of the Virgin Mary in Lipa City, Batangas from 1948, and the shower of rose petals that accompanied it. To date, it still is a point of contention for believers and non-believers alike.
