Around The Web (Videos)

This weeks episode is all about E3 2015!  We are joined by friend of the podcast Sean, as well as newly titled Super-Fan, Ito!  We’ve been trying to get Ito onto the podcast for a long time, and he’s finally joined us!  He was a little shy (i.e. quiet), but I’m glad we had him on and look forward to having him on again in the future!

We covered each conference (with the exception of the Master Race, the PC showcase).  Instead of linking individual videos, I decided to link the videos of each conference!

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, right?  So you guys must LOVE us!  But we are back and should be getting into the groove of things now that summer has hit and there is less…obligation calling from the real world.  E3 was this week and it was AMAZING!  But…this episode was recorded a week ago, so expect our E3 special coming up soon!

But seriously, I apologize for the delay in this episode, it should have been up a week ago, but the last two weeks of school (where I work) were absolutely crazy, working 10+ hour days a lot.  When I got home, it was dinner and sleep before I had to do it all over again!  But that’s over with and I don’t expect to have another job so demanding (though very rewarding) next school year!

Anyway, in this episode, we talked about Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, Dying Light, Mortal Kombat X, Titanfall, Grand Theft Auto V, Bloodborne, and Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse!

We also announced this months Playstation 4 PS+ games, which you can find here, as well as talked about the new headphones I bought, Sony Extra Bass Bluetooth Headset, that I highly recommended in our What’s Caught Your Eye.

When I realized this was episode 175, it made me realize how close we are to episode 200.  It feels like just yesterday we hit episode 50!  What a bad episode that was…oh well!

This week we have guest host Raditz from Namek!  Oh wait, I’m kidding, he’s too much of a man to be on our podcast… Oh well, maybe one of these days we can have Batman back.  This week it’s actually just me and Patrick, back again.

This week we talked about Mario Party 10, Dying Light, Mortal Kombat X, along with the Mortal Kombat X App and the original Dragon Ball series!

The list was a bit short this week, but we made up for it with no just 1 What’s Caught Your Eye, but TWO!!  The first was for the new Ludacris album, Ludaversal.  It’s an amazing album, just as good all of his old ones.  The second is the new Daredevil series on Netflix, the whole season is up now so go binge watch!

This week we talked about H1N1 .

Our What’s Caught Your Eye this week was the trailer for the upcoming movie Pixels (see below), it looks awesome!

It may not have been the H1Z1 (or H1N1) viruses that hit us hard this week, but technical difficulties made this hour long podcast take 3 to record!  Still we managed to get through a fun but frustrating episode to bring to you, so enjoy!

Skype was not being our friend this week and actually somehow disabled my sound card while we were recording!  I’m still unsure how that happened!  It required us to not only stop recording, but we ended up losing over 20 minutes of recording plus over an hour of on and off disruptions.  Oh well, it was still fun!

We talked about Dragon Age: Inquisition, Chain Chronicles, Dying Light, Boom Beach, Trivia Crack, and Patrick even started reading Gears of War: Anvil Gate again!  Oh, and he also talked a bit about buying a 3TB drive for his Xbox One!

This weeks What Caught Your Eye was the youtube channel Games With Hank.

In The News:

You might be wondering where me and Patrick have been, or you might not care.  Either way, I’m here to tell you that we’ve both been CRAZY SICK!  Well, mine was about a month ago now, but Patrick has been really sick over the past 2 weeks, so I decided I needed to do one, and I’m joined by John Francisco!

Now if you’re a long time listener, I know what you’re thinking…But Patrick has been on EVERY SINGLE EPISODE SINCE EPISODE 000!  While that’s not ENTIRELY true (he has missed a few of our early “specials”), he has been on all the 171 numbered episodes.

So, in honor of his AWESOME attendance record, I couldn’t do a regular episode.  Instead I decided to do a “Top 10” special!  I’ll be taking a look at top 10 Cult Classic Video Games from a video on WatchMojo.com (unfortunately I could not embed the video, so you can click here to watch).

While I’m sure there are some other great cult classic games you could come up with (and if there are, please leave a comment and let me know!) I thought this list did a pretty good job.

10. Spec Ops: The Line (2012)

I really like doing this podcast, have I ever told you that?  Well, I really do.  We have started thinking about more guests again, this week we are joined by Angelo (along with Elliott in the background making a few comments, if they came through on the mic).  But what it’s all about for me (for us, really, Patrick included) is the fans.  When we hear from fans for any reason, it really makes the difference.  Download numbers are nice, but we really like that back-and-forth, so drop us a line!

Anyway, this week we talked about Middle Earth: Shadows of Mordor, Titanfall, Halo: Master Chief Collection, Ryse: Son of Rome, Dying Light, Titanfall, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Assassin’s Creed Unity, Halo: Master Chief Collection, Dying Light, and Boom Beach.

This weeks What Caught Your Eye featured the new trailer for the Fantastic Four reboot that Patrick had a very strong opinion about (what’s new, right?).  I thought the trailer looked good, though I’m not sure if I will support the movie in the long run.
