She's co-directer of the Harm Reduction Research and Treatment Center at UW Medicines Harborview Medical Center. She's been involved in substance use research, assessment and treatment for over 2 decades.
GUEST: former WA resident, Ginny Burton, a recovering heroin, meth, and cocaine addict who was arrested for drugs before finally getting clean in rehab; she graduated from UW, is a Martin Honors Scholar, a Truman Scholar, and now is self employed as a consultant and a founder and principal of a holistic reentry treatment program that increases community safety by helping addicts and criminals get clean.
