Purdy was hog-tied for 40 minutes, and died while in custody of Washoe County jail in 2015. They also discuss Reporter Anjeanette Damon's, Death Behind Bars series where she conducts a year long investigation into the spike of deaths occuring at Washoe County Jail since 2015 and the key players involved. Additional to Thomas Purdy, we say the names and tell the stories of the other two victims who were asphyxiated by deputies under the care or Washoe County Jail, Niko Smith, and Justin Thompson.
