The Helias Lady Crusaders basketball team is in the MSHSAA Show-Me Showdown in Columbia. Today they face Fort Zumwalt South in the Class 5 third place game. Helias Coach Garrett Wiggans starts off our program. The high school spring sports season is underway. The Helias Crusaders are headed to a district title basketball game on Monday against Rolla. The Crusaders picked up a big win over Jefferson City on Friday and Head Coach Joe Rothweiler starts off our program. District semi-final games today at Jefferson City High School for the Jefferson City Lady Jays (against Union) and the Helias Crusaders (against Camdenton). Lady Jays Coach Kay Foster and Lady Crusaders Coach Garrett Wiggans join us on the show. We also reflect on the 2024-25 basketball season with Capital City Cavaliers Coach Ryan Fick. It's the second day of the MSHSAA state wrestling championships in Columbia. Helias Coach Kyle Markway and Jefferson City Coach Darrell Luebbert start off our show with first day results and second day matchups involving their wrestlers. District basketball starts next week. We head to Bolivar start our program. It's the second day of district wrestling and we check-in with Helias Coach Kyle Markway and Capital City Coach Mitch Werdehausen. Helias celebrated senior night last night with a win over Columbia Battle in basketball. Coach Joe Rothweiler starts off the program. A come from behind win for the Jefferson City Jays last night against Blair Oaks. We talk about the win with head basketball coach Ethan Williams. The Philadelphia Eagles won the NFL Championship last Sunday and quarterback Jalen Hurts was named the games Most Valuable Player. Former Helias All-American Hale Hentges played college football at Alabama where Hurts played quarterback. He joins us on the show. We also head up to North Point High School and check in with Jefferson City Lady Jays Wrestling Coach Darrell Luebbert on the second day of district wrestling. It's all on the KWOS Coaches Show.

It's the NFL Championship game Sunday as Kansas City meets Philadelphia. Blair Oaks Falcons head football coach Ted LePage joins us to break down the game. A full day of basketball today at Helias High School...it's the Central Bank Shootout. Capital City Coach Ryan Fick and Blair Oaks Coach Nick Voss give us a preview of their games at the shootout where Capital City faces Lift for Life and Blair Oaks meets Seneca. The Central Missouri Activities Conference wrestling tournament is today at Jefferson City High School. Helias wrestling coach Kyle Markway starts off our program. Jefferson City Jays and Lady Jays basketball coaches Ethan Williams and Kay Foster also join us on the show and we head to Seneca this morning to talk with Blair Oaks wrestling coach David Nicolaescu as his team competes in the Seneca Wrestling Tournament.
