Tananawit: A Community of Warm Springs Artists held its 2nd Annual Lil' Creative Natives Youth Art Fair on March 27-28, 2024. Warm Springs Tribal Youth joined for two days of creating and learning from Warm Springs Tribal Culture Bearers.

Warm Springs Community Action Team is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping people build financial independence and small businesses by empowering Warm Springs community members to achieve their goals.

Demus Martinez serves as a financial counselor, assisting Warm Springs community members in building and repairing their credit and in developing spending and savings strategies to reach short and long-term savings goals.

KIDS CENTER is a non-profit organization in Bend who work to help children overcome the devastating effects of child abuse. They provide curriculum and training so everyone in our community can help keep kids safe.

At the Warm Springs ECE Center, programs have been short staffed, impacting the ability to provide care to children. A Steering Group, is providing support to ECE Programs, in an effort to fill long standing vacancies and to build back capacity to meet the needs of Warm Springs Families and Children. In December, the Steering Group was formed, when the ECE programs moved into the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Health & Human Services Branch.

The Healing Our Spirits and Land Round Dance first started in 2017. Collin Chief is a relative from up north across what is called the medicine line. A descendent of Cree lineage, he carries his teachings from his homelands and has brought it to Oregon to share, offering prayers for healing.

Dr. Rachel Locker had been a doctor, friend and confidant of the close-knit WS community, working at Warm Springs indian Health Services for 20+ years.

She is retiring and the community turned out to wish her well.

MountainStar Family Relief Nursery's mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect through community support and therapeutic services that help vulnerable children and families succeed.

In Warm Springs Lorien Scott is the Outreach Coordinator for MountainStar.

She talks about her role in helping MountainStar realize their vision for communities across Central Oregon where child abuse and neglect are reduced and where parents are supported in nurturing their children’s emotional, physical, and intellectual development in a safe environment.

The Heart of Oregon Corps is now accepting applications for their Central Oregon Youth Conservation Crews for this summer. Crews will be located in Warm Springs, Madras, Prineville, Redmond, Sisters, Bend & Crescent.
