A KWSO report on the continuing search for Warm Springs Tribal Member Louie Selam who vwas last seen on Wednesday March 16 2022, leaving Bi-Mart in Madras. His car was discovered days later stuck in snow 20 miles west of Warm Springs near the Peter’s Pasture areas of the Warm Springs Reservation.

Initial search efforts to locate the 71 year old Tribal Elder failed. With no leads and a lack of resources, Warm Springs Public Safety called off the search at the end of March.

The family continues to organize search parties and hope to find their relative.

The family is resolved to continue to search for their loved one.

Treehouse Therapies provides Behavioral Health, Physical & Occupational Therapies to families in Warm Springs. They are located at the Warm Springs Early Childhood Education Center in G Pod and currently are availalble on Wednesdays each week.

When Tribal Council nominations came along this year for the 29th Tribal Council - a long time representative of the Simnasho District decided it was time to step away. Raymond Tsumpti Sr. served in that capacity for 8 full terms - spending 24 years representing the Simnasho people at the Council Table, and representing the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs outside of the reservation. He reflected on what he learned along the way… and what influenced his course.
