Gift of the Givers partners with Groote Schuur Hospital Trust to raise funds for much needed Surgical procedures.

Among the many devastating impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, has been the massive loss of operating time and capacity at most hospitals across the country, as healthcare workers tended to patients severely ill with COVID-19. As a result, there are over 6000 patients awaiting essential surgery at GSH. As an institution, we want to redouble our efforts to help these patients to walk again, restore their eyesight and alleviate their pain. We are therefore immensely proud and appreciative of the huge donation from Gift of the Givers towards this special project. 
 
Gift of the Givers is challenging individuals and businesses to match their R5million donation to the Surgical Recovery Project in order to ensure these surgeries can happen and patients’ wellbeing can be restored. Your donation today will make a difference for someone who has been waiting more than 2 years to have their joint replaced, cataract removed or cancer surgery performed.
