Olena Ishutina is a Candidate Masters of Sports in Ballroom Dancing and she won more than 10 dancing competitions.

Ruslana Matiukhina is a FLEX Alumna 2019 to Kansas, USA, and now a Philology Student at the Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Sciences as well as an English language tutor and a Professional Violinist.

Ruslana is a very open-minded and active person. She likes to combine traveling with work, education and volunteering.

Ruslana took part in a EuropeansforPeace Human Rights conference in Berlin which inspired her to start at her University the project "Human Rights Speaking club".

Karyna Tretiak is an International Relations student at the Institute Of International Relations (IIR), Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (KNU)

Born in Kherson, in the south of Ukraine, Karyna loves Yoga, Fashion and Sports. And as an active student, she organized many events for students at club “Ambassador”, Model UN and European Youth Parliament School Sessions. And she recently did a short term Erasmus exchange to Poland.

Karyna is the winner of beauty contests so she likes to debunk stereotypes about the relation between beauty and intelligence.

Kateryna Ionova is a student of International Relations at the Institute Of International Relations (IIR), Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (KNU), and a Leader from the Integrity Leadership School by USAID Support to Anti-Corruption Champion Institutions (SACCI) and America House Kyiv.

Born in Dnipro, Ukraine, Kateryna is a Youth Leader and a dancer: She has been dancing since her childhood for 12 years, doing ballroom dance, then contemporary and classical choreography. She has taken dance performances both in Dnipro and in Kyiv, and she won international competitions.

Kateryna is very keen on music: She graduated from music school and still enjoy playing piano. She is a language lover, who is currently focused on the German language. And she is highly interested in the topics of healthy lifestyle and sport: She trains at the gym everyday and worked as a fitness instructor for a while.

Mary Gichcko is an International Relations student at the Institute Of International Relations (IIR), Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (KNU), a 2-time Champion of Ukraine in Muay-Thai and a Candidate of Master of Sports in Muay-Thai.

Born in the industrial city of Krivy Rih, Mary graduated from high school with an average mark of 12 in her certificate, and she won olimpiads in math, Ukrainian, Russian and English languages and she is keen on classic literature, history, politics and psychology.

Katya Kvasha is a Marketing Student at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and a Ukraine Global Scholar 2021 Semi-Finalist.

Born in the town of Izyum, in Kharkiv oblast, Katya was the President of Gymnasium N1 in Izyum for 3 years and graduated with a Gold Medal. She is an ENGin student. And she loves studying, reading books, dancing, listening to music, public speaking and debates.

Katya won 1st place for her research work in History at Kharkiv Junior Academy of Science, she won Geography and History Olympiads in Izyum, and she took 3rd place for one of them in Kharkiv.

Mariia Panchenko is a Law Student at National University Of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA), and the co-founder and coordinator of the anti-discrimination platform RECORD UP, which is a community fighting for equality and to stop discrimination.

Born in Zavodske, Poltava region, Mariia loves learning languages, and she speaks French, Hebrew and German. And in her free time, she draws flowers, plays the piano and is keen on traveling.

Her biggest inspiration are people around her. Including the great people she met as a European Youth Parliament member, a delegate on Models UN including participation in the Model UN New York as the first ever Ukrainian delegation.

Olha Tsvilyuk is a FLEX Finalist '20-’22 to Timberline High School, Lacey, Seattle and a Preparing Global Leaders Forum Alumna '21.

Born on the magical day of New Year’s Night (01.01), Olha believes in miracles and that everyone cane make miracles for themselves.

Olha is a philocalist - she can find and appreciate beauty in all things! Nature, unknown places and wildlife inspire me, she wrote her first book when she was 12, her younger sister became the prototype of the main character, second one she wrote when she was 13, none of them were published,

Now she is working on a book, that she's looking forward to publish, it’s about the emotions of nature and fulfilling of a mindset with a virtue of staying on your own in forests and fields.

She was also a vice-editor in the youth newspaper ЩоДеКоли (SchoDeKoly), she is really keen on writing and expressing my emotions into words.

Polina Shumska is a FLEX Alumna '20 (Visalia, California) and a FLEX City Representative of Sloviansk '21. During her FLEX experience, she volunteered for approximately 150 hours and she was a SCICON (Science Conservation Camp) counselor.

Born in a little village on the outskirts of Sloviansk, Polina graduated from Sloviansk ZOSH #5 and from music school as she can play the piano. As a FLEX City Representative of Sloviansk, she organized various projects including recently a cleanup on the hill, and a self-defense webinar dedicated to Sexual Assault Awareness month.

Polina teaches English at a language school called “AKTO”, and she gives free speaking clubs online and at local linguistic school. She loves Yoga and Cycling, she leads a healthy and eco-conscious lifestyle.
