  • This Manayunk restaurant keeps getting vandalized
    A restaurant owner in Manayunk says her business keeps getting vandalized, and she believes she's being targeted.
    Anna Yu says someone smashed the window of her restaurant Platform Z just after midnight on Sunday. She says it's the second time her business has been vandalized in the last six months and the fourth time in two years.
    She says she has talked with other business owners in the area and is trying to figure out why her business keeps getting targeted. She says she would like to see more police patrol the area, especially on weekend nights.
    Philadelphia police say they don't have any information about the vandalism.

  • School crossing guard assaulted in Delaware County
    Police in Darby, Delaware County, are looking for the person who assaulted a crossing guard.
    It happened Monday, just before 4 p.m., near Walnut Street Elementary School.
    Police say they're "very troubled by this heinous act" and they're exhausting all resources to identify the person responsible.
    If you saw it happen, police say they want to you hear from you.

  • MLS suspends Philadelphia Union sporting director over alleged sexist, homophobic and racist remarks
    Major League Soccer has suspended the Philadelphia Union's Sporting Director Ernst Tanner over allegations that he made sexist, homophobic and racist remarks.
    MLS says it has completed its investigation and has substantiated violations of MLS policies and standards of professional conduct.
    According to the Guardian newspaper, Tanner told a female referee to "go back to women's soccer" and said black refs "lack intelligence and capability." Tanner says he regrets the impact the situation has had on the team and fans.
    Tanner will be suspended without pay until June 1. Before he can return, he must complete a league-approved restorative practices program.
    As for Tanner's future with the team, the Union says it "will evaluate the best and appropriate structure for the organization following the disciplinary process."

  • 2 men arrested for running fake contracting businesses across Greater Philadelphia region
    Two men are arrested and charged with running fake contracting businesses in the Greater Philadelphia region.
    Lower Merion police say a year-long investigation led to the arrests of Jake Fox and Scott Bradley.
    The pair is accused of operating high-dollar fraud schemes under the business names “PJS Paving & Masonry Corp," "Orchard Paving,” and “Perfect Paving LLC."

  • Maryland man sentenced for sending threatening letters to Jewish institutions and organizations
    A 55-year-old Maryland man was sentenced to more than three years in prison Monday afternoon in Philadelphia federal court for threatening Jewish institutions.
    Clift Seferlis of Garrett Park, a few miles from Bethesda, pleaded guilty last November to numerous counts of mailing threats and obstructing religious freedom.
    Between March 2024 and June 2025, Seferlis sent at least 40 letters to more than 25 Jewish organizations, including synagogues, museums, schools and community centers.
    Prosecutors say Seferlis mailed threats to one Philadelphia Jewish institution six times.
    Seferlis has been sentenced to 37 months in prison, three years of supervised release, and more than $40,000 in fines.

  • Raccoon that had physical contact with dog tests positive for rabies in Mount Holly
    The Burlington County Health Department says a raccoon that had physical contact with a dog last week in Mount Holly has tested positive for rabies.
    Officials say the interaction happened on March 11 along Blue Jay Lane near Woodlane Road.
    The dog was vaccinated and has received a rabies booster. As a precaution, the dog’s owners were also advised to receive rabies post-exposure treatment.
    Officials recommend that anyone who has been scratched or bitten by a wild animal, stray cat or dog in this neighborhood in the last month contact their doctor and the Burlington County Health Department.

  • Philly man charged in luxury vehicle title-washing scheme
    The investigation into 40-year-old Adam Richardson began after a Pennsylvania State Trooper impounded a vehicle titled through his business, Richardson Family Enterprises LLC.
    Officials then traced several stolen cars back to Richardson and uncovered a title-washing scheme.
