It's illegal in Pennsylvania to ride electric scooters on public roads and sidewalks, but a lot of scooter riders do it anyway.

Lawmakers in Harrisburg are trying to address the problem, but as we hear from KYW Suburban Bureau Chief Jim Melwert, they describe the process as “walking a tightrope."

SEPTA is tweaking schedules on the Paoli/Thorndale Line starting Sunday.

The transit agency says the changes are to accommodate an Amtrak infrastructure project.

Most inbound trains will now leave 5 minutes earlier than normal, and trains will be rerouted between Overbrook and 30th Street stations.

The Amtrak project is expected to end in November.

SEPTA says times may not change at all stations on adjusted trains, so riders should check the new schedule.

A driver was injured after a crash with a school bus Wednesday morning in Washington Township.

Police said it was shortly before 9 a.m. when a school bus crossing Pitman Downer Road, toward Orion Way, was hit by a vehicle headed northbound on Pitman Downer Road.

The driver of the second vehicle was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Four children were also taken to the hospital with suspected minor injuries, as a precaution.

The incident is under investigation. Washington Township police ask anyone with information to contact them.

A federal judge has blocked President Donald Trump's latest attempt to curb birthright citizenship in the U.S.

The Maryland judge granted a preliminary injunction, stopping the executive order until a class action lawsuit by immigrant families and advocacy groups is resolved.

The right to citizenship if you're born here is guaranteed under the 14th Amendment. But Trump's order aims to restrict citizenship for children born to certain foreign nationals.

The judge says the Supreme Court already ruled on the issue in June, finding that children in the class action case are citizens at birth. So, she argues Trump's new executive order, issued last month, violated the high court's ruling.

There was no sign of mechanical failure that might have led to the deadly collision last month between a small plane and a Pennsylvania State Police helicopter in Carlisle, according to early findings from the National Transportation Safety Board.
