On St. Patricks Day, they are having their annual BOX LUNCH SALE to help all of their efforts in the community, all funding help stays right here in the communities for the people that need it most. "At a time when there is so much uncertainty, it is very clear to us, that we are needed now more than ever. Our clientele does not have the luxury of staying at home - for many, we are their home. Our clientele did not hoard the groceries or personal care items, instead we are providing their meals and hygiene care. Our staff can not work remotely, because we have to be on hand to continue our mission of Providing Help, Creating Hope. If you know someone in need of our help, please let them know our doors are open. Co-Directors of Nation Outside, Johnell Allen-Bey and Percy Glover, speak about the Bi-Partisan work they are doing in the City of Flint and throughout the state of Michigan. They are working to reverse the stigma and implement change on the legislative level for those that are coming out of incarceration, and educate those in the prison system currently. This includes advocacy, education, and ensuring that all of those in the system or out of it have opportunities to live a meaningful and sustainable quality of life. They discuss their voter registration work, and reiterate in many ways that anyone with a felony that is out from incarceration CAN vote in the state of Michigan.
