DJ Stutah, Host of The Age of Hip Hop Electronic, recently sat down with Tim "Love" Lee. Tim is a producer and DJ. Tim founded Tummy Touch Records and is most recognized as a pioneer of electronic dance music and trip hop. Tim's debut album has been named as one of Fact magazine's 50 best trip hop albums of all time. His recently released his newest compilation album 'Confessions of the 36th best Trip Hop Producers of All Time'. DJ Stutah and Tim talk music, producing, and so much in between.

Back in the fall, the folks at the Moab Arts & Recreation Center and Back of Beyond Books posed a question: could we say that as a community it’s been an uncommon time? They then invited writers of pose and poetry to answer, delving into their personal relationships with time. The result of this intrepid venture was a poetry reading, which we are happily airing on Art Talks! Thanks to the writers, readers and organizers for having us broadcast these stories, which get us thinking about uncommon time.

In April 2022, Moab local Sam Newman set out for a backyard bicycle jaunt he considered to be fairly run-of-the-mill. The ride turned out to be anything but that. He suffered an accident that changed his life physically, mentally and emotionally. Regular listeners of Great Wide Open will recall hearing Sam recount this harrowing incident along with former Moab resident Haley Tamberi’s account of a climbing accident she had several years ago. Their stories dovetail and diverge in interesting ways as they share their internal journeys both post-accident and to the present. However, not all of the conversation Sam and host Lisa Hathaway had made it to the original airing, so this episode presents Sam’s story in its original length. Here, Sam provides us with quite a vulnerable glimpse into his internal journey. Thank you, Sam, for this important conversation!
