2. Where can you get tested in Anderson Valley? The UCSF program in Anderson Valley is coming to a close on November 15 but there are new options in the works.
3. What assistance will be going to the homeless population? There are two homeless shelters up and running right now and they are both following the appropriate precautions for COVID-19.
4. Can you wash paper masks? Many can be washed while retaining their protective ability. Cloth masks should be washed every day.
5. How far can we travel now that we're in the red tier? Traveling restrictions have never been a mandate, but rather a recommendation.

1. Is there testing in Willits? How do populations affect positivity rates and the severity of COVID in our area? Scientists are looking at the positivity rate of the tests we do take,generally  the more tests we conduct the lower the positivity rate is. The swells and clusters of positive cases are normally apparent in the daily positive tests. Being in a rural county definitely makes our statistics a lot different than a city.

3. Should I wear a construction n95 or a surgical mask if I have both available? Oly wear the construction ones when you aren't around anybody else, they have a valve that would allow the virus to get out of the mask.
4. How will covid procedures affect this fall’s flu season? Tasking covid precautions will hopefully help us avoid a flu season like it did in the spring.

1. If we wear masks and stay isolated will the virus die out? Has there ever been a vaccine for a coronavirus in the past? Even if the case numbers go down, the virus will most likely not die out. We are hoping to get case numbers low enough through social distancing and vaccination so that we can develop herd immunity. Vaccines were being developed for past coronaviruses, but the technology is vastly improved today even than it was 3-4 years ago.
2. How did they deal with the similar virus outbreak that happened 100 years ago? They dealt with it in basically the same way that we are now, the main difference was that they didn’t have the same type of communication that we do now, and they didn’t have the same type of masking knowledge.
3. How is the county addressing those who refuse to comply with health and isolation regulations, especially those who need to go out in public for work? If people are ordered into isolation or quarantine, the county assides aid to them such as meals, personal needs, and a secure location to isolate if they are not able to do so at home. There is not an overwhelming group of people who refuse to comply.
4. How can consumers be sure that the COVID-19 vaccine will be safe? These vaccines will only be given to healthy people who can handle the injection. However, we do know that some people are more prone to getting seizures after receiving any type of vaccine. While there is an infinitesimal risk of a bad reaction from a vaccine, the health risks from not vaccinating are much worse.
