L is for Lily

On episode of 25 of L is for Lily we speak to Kayla Bell. Kayla is a multifaceted entrepreneur in swimsuit designs. Kayla reminds us what it’s like to defeat the odds by never losing site of what her big goal is despite what life throws at her. Arrow + Phoenix Swimwear was just worn by U.S. soccer player Crystal Dunn in the 2019 Sports illustrator.

On episode 24 of L is for Lily we have Jessie Ford Coots. What an amazing battle Jessie had to fight to be here today. Her gratitude towards life starts back from when she’s 16 and found out that her spine was shaped like an S. Let’s listen in on how Jessie fights forward, and still gets to do ALL the things, while finding out what she’s truly passionate about.

On episode 23 of L is for Lily we speak to Cassidy Elizabeth who is a concert and portrait photographer who dives deep for us and tells us how she kept motivated after her father’s passing. She’s young, but she learned at a young age that you gotta keep pushing after life’s trials and tribulations.

On episode 22 of L is for Lily we speak to Kathie Vandermeer. Kathie wasn’t going to let being post-partum get the best of her. She became a personal trainer, started to work on her negative mindset, and started to help other women along her way. Listen to how she feels as if we always have to have it “together” and sometimes we have to just “give ourselves permission” to go seek help.

On episode 21 of L is for Lily we have Jessica Teresi, and we learn the importance of having a community when it comes to healing from violence. We talk about how it feels to be authentically you, and how the fear from not being believed, can impact your future. Jessica is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and intimate partner violence, and I urge those of you, who are listening, or know someone who is also going through this, to please reach out.

On Episode 20 of L is for Lily we get the pleasure of speaking with the brilliant photographer, Denise Karis. This conversation really resonated with me, and I felt as if Denise was giving me my own motivational speech to get ready to ditch my own 9-5! Listen to how Denise goes through all of the feels in her own pursuit to happiness.

On episode 19 of LIFL we have Sara Funk. Sara tells us her story of never giving up, and puts a spin on the typical Stay at Home Mom owning coffee and tea shop called Mud and Char. She pushes everyone around her to become their best selves, and to be honest, she’s even pushed me! Sara quickly learned that being told that she “can’t” do something, gives her the fuel she needs to do it.
