Today I bring you a special episode with the excuse of the next gigs that we have lined up with West Coast Punks in Galway.
I'm going to play songs of some of the bands that are playing in these upcoming gigs, and as an extra, some of the people in these bands have sent me voice notes, so you will hear them as well.
Bands in this episode:
-Dark Thoughts.
-Claimed Choice.
-An Slua.
Today I bring you a special show dedicated to the memory of Juanjo Eskroto, or Juanjo Subijana, a really important figure in the punk scene of my hometown, Zaragoza in Spain, who passed away in March.
Juanjo played in bands such as Kanzer d'Eskroto, Zorras Adolescentes, and more, and run the bar Vampirella and the label Bazofia Records, and organized the Semana Bruta punk event with this bestie Oskar.
This episode is dedicated to his memory, with my thoughts going out to his partner Lara, his closest friends, Oskar and the others in the Zaragoza punk scene, and his family.
In this episode we listen to the bands Kanzer d'Eskroto, Zorras Adolescentes, Sam Peckimpah Order and Psychofónicos.
Yay! I interviewed the mighty Hungry Buzzards from Kinvara, Ireland!!
I also talked a little bit about the Siege, a brilliant metal event in Limerick, also in Ireland.
Listen to the Hungry Buzzards, follow them, go see them live, buy some merch, they are great!!

In this episode I talk about why, when and how I started with this radio show 14 years ago.
I interviewed Black Birch, an atmospheric black metal duo from Southern Sweden. At the end of the episode you can hear their song "Fallen".

Today’s episode features an interview with Venganza!!!
Venganza are from my hometown, Zaragoza (Spain), and they play hardcore punk, influenced mainly by Iberian punk bands.
Oh, and this episode is in Spanish. I interviewed them in the van while we were touring together, and I figured that between the road noise and English being our second language, it might be a bit hard to follow... Turns out the sound is actually pretty good! And if you don’t understand Cervantes’ language, no worries, you can still enjoy their songs, which I drop in here and there during the episode, hehe.
Venganza are not just a great band, they are also good friends. I’ve known some of them for decades, and with two of them I even played in a band called Plaga. I did not remembered this, but while doing a bit of research to introduce them, I was reminded that they recorded their first demo in my old rehearsal space in Madrid, where we used to rehearse with Perräs Salvajes, and I even did some backing vocals on it. I had completely forgotten about that, hahaha.
Anyway, if you get the chance, support them: book a show, grab their records, and check out their Bandcamp!!

Yay! First episode of the year—and it only took me two months to finally put it out 😄 So here it is: an interview with the wonderful Mic, singer (and sometimes bass player) of An Slua, the punk Oi! band from Galway, Ireland.
I absolutely love their music and their style. And one of the first things that really caught my attention about An Slua was their vegan, anti-speciesist lyrics. But that’s not all they talk about at all… they also dive into things like the housing crisis (which is massive in Ireland), work, mental health, and a lot more. In this interview we have a really candid, spontaneous conversation about all of these topics. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Go check An Slua out right now, and organise a show for them in your town!! They really want to play in Spain and the Basque Country, so let’s make that happen 😄

Exciting episode with one of the members of Södra Klubben, an anarchist group based in Malmö (Sweden). We talk about the book that they published last year, a brief but very interesting analysis on antifascism and fascism in Sweden.
