Le film se déroule durant la seconde guerre mondiale dans la France occupée et raconte les mauvaises aventures de deux Français totalement opposés par leurs caractères et origines sociales (l’un est peintre de bâtiment et l’autre est chef d’orchestre). Leurs noms sont Bouvet et Lefort et le hasard fait qu’ils doivent travailler ensemble pour cacher deux aviateurs britanniques et les aider à rejoindre la zone libre, puis l’Angleterre. En même temps, les allemands essaient de les trouver. Bouvet, Lefort et les deux aviateurs britanniques voyagent alors vers la Bourgogne, rencontrent plusieurs petits problèmes en chemin, mais ils finissent par atteindre leur objectif sain et sauf.
La grande vadrouille est un film des années 60, mais c’est encore l’un des films préférés des français. Il a même été restauré et il est ressortit aux cinéma en 2016. Les deux célèbres comédiens Louis de Funès et Bourvil jouent dedans.
Il est clair que le film est des années 60 de par la façon de filmer, le scénario et même les blagues, mais ça reste quand même un classique du cinéma français qui est très agréable à regarder.

The movie plays out during the second world war in occupied France and tells the bad adventures of two Frenchmen totally opposed in their characters and social origins (one is a building painter and one is a conductor. Their names are Bouvet and Lefort and by chance, they have to work together to hide two British aviators and help them to get to the free zone, then to England. At the same time, the Germans are trying to find them. Bouvet, Lefort and the two aviators travel then to Bourgogne, meet a few little problems on the road, but end up reaching their goal safe and sound.
La grande vadrouille is a movie from the 60s, but it is still one of French people’s favorite movies. It has even been restored and it was released again in the cinema in 2016. The two famous comedians Louis de Funes and Bourvil play in it.
It is clear that the movie is from the 60s from the way it is filmed, the scenario and even the jokes, but it is anyway still a classic of French cinema that is very nice to watch.
