The Bécquer Rhymes are the most refined poetic expression of the late Spanish Romanticism. On the other hand, the gloomy, ghostly and mysterious climate that Becquer managed to create in his Legends is unmatched. Beyond the time of the ephemeral fashions, many poems by this author are already part of the collective memory of a people.

Each society generates, throughout its history, its own vision of the world, its referential framework within which all things take on meaning. Prejudices, power relations, fantasies, social and mental life, in its totality, influence the conformation and change of his worldview.
