    Happy Saturday Friends-

My next guest is a trail blazer for children's mental health. FORBES magazine called her, “A thought leader in children’s mental health”. Please welcome Dr. Roseann CapannaHodge. Trusted and beloved, Pediatric Mental Health Expert, Dr. Roseann shows parents how to turn around their child’s anxiety, mood, attention, motivation, bad grades, and snarky attitude with PROVEN holistic therapies. In her straight shooter and lively way, Dr. Roseann breaks down EXACTLY what parents need to do to make foundational changes that bring lasting gains. This is the ultimate parent guide that walks you through step-by-step how to use nutrition, supplements, genetics, detoxification, stress management, parenting, and clinical tools such as psychotherapy, neurofeedback and biofeedback to help your child be calm, happy, listen better, achieve good grades, and just get along with others. Just like at her center, Dr. Roseann gets parents to stop thinking about, “If he gets better” to “When he gets better”.  To learn more or to connect with Roseann, please head to the following links:

  • Sustainable Excellence, Ten Principles to Leading Your Uncommon and Extraordinary Life

    TGIF Friends-

It's the freakin weekend! Woo-Hoo! My next guest is absolutely incredibly inspiring. He has overcame so much and continues to excel. Please welcome Terry Tucker! A little bit about Terry:
I have reinvented myself frequently over my professional career. After I graduated from college at The Citadel (where I played NCAA Division I basketball), I was employed in the Marketing Department at the corporate headquarters of Wendy’s International in Dublin, Ohio. From there, I worked in hospital administration for Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. After getting married and moving to California for my wife's job, I became the Customer Service Manager for an academic publishing company in Santa Barbara. After our daughter was born and we moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, I became a police officer with the Cincinnati Police Department, where I was a SWAT Hostage Negotiator. Following a family relocation to Texas, I started a school security consulting business and coached high school girls basketball in Houston. Each time I took on a new job, I had to develop new skills and faced different challenges. There was always a significant learning curve with every new position.
But my greatest challenge began in early 2012 when I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Acral Lentiginous Melanoma, which presented on the bottom of my foot. By the time the melanoma was detected, it had metastasized to a lymph node in my groin. Because my cancer is so rare (only about 6,500 people are diagnosed with this form of malignancy in the U.S. each year), I was treated at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center. I had two surgeries to remove the tumors, and after I healed, I was put on a weekly injection of the drug, Interferon, to help keep the disease from coming back.
I took those weekly injections for four years and seven months before the Interferon became so toxic to my body that I ended up in the Intensive Care Unit with a fever of 108 degrees. Fortunately, expert medical care saved my life.
The Interferon gave me severe flu-like symptoms for two to three days after each injection. I lost fifty pounds during my therapy, was constantly nauseous, fatigued, and chilled, my ability to taste food significantly diminished, and my body constantly ached. This misery went on for over 1,660 days!
One thing I learned during all my pain and suffering is that you have two choices. You can succumb to the debilitating discomfort and misery, or you can learn to embrace it and use it to make you a stronger and better human being. I chose the latter.
There were times I felt so poorly and was in so much agony that I prayed to die. Each day was a struggle to use my mind to override my body's apathy and distress.
I realize pain and discomfort can beat you to your knees and keep you there if you let it. But I also came to appreciate that I could use my hurting and anguish to make me stronger and more resolute.
I was no better at dealing with pain and discomfort than the next person. But every day, I found a way to survive, with the knowledge that I would need to do it again the following morning.
I recently wrote a book, entitled Sustainable Excellence, Ten Principles to Leading Your Uncommon and Extraordinary Life, to help people find and live their uncommon and extraordinary life. The ten principles outlined in the book will provide the bedrock necessary to form the foundation of unshakable beliefs and dedicated behaviors to reinforce your attitude, no matter how much pain you must endure or how many obstacles you must overcome. My hope is that people who read the book will lead a life of significance, as well as a life of success.
I understand what it is like to fight for your life and one thing I’ve learned is that as long as you don’t quit, you can never be defeated. To follow Terry, head to the links below:

  • Monster Mini-Golf!

    Happy hump-day, Happy Pre-Thanksgiving Friends!

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble! Who's ready for turkey day? I am so ready to relax with family and enjoy each others company. Allowing the stressors of the past year and a half melt away. It has been a minute since we came together for the holidays. This episode has a lot valuable lessons in it.  This guest has been thru it and back again. She is persistent, she is successful and a total boss babe! Please welcome my next PREMIERE guest Christina Vitagliano! Christina doesn't just survive, she thrives!

A little bit about this powerhouse:

At some point in my childhood there was always one of the following: no heat, no money, no home, no food, but we always managed and the outside was none the wiser. I have survived things most people could never imagine. I am a fearless workaholic and love to learn.

I created Monster Mini Golf as I saw a void in affordable family entertainment. My requirements: cost less than the movies, be easily managed, require little to no inventory, had to be different and it had to be fun.

Built the first Monster Mini Golf myself making monsters out of everything and anything. Opened in May 2004.

Franchised Monster Mini Golf in 2005.

Today we have 30+ Franchised locations across the USA and Canada.

2009 landed us on the front page of the Wall Street Journal with an underdog victory against litigiously aggressive Monster Cable Company. Case is now sited in trademark law classes.

2012 opened KISS by Monster Mini Golf, Las Vegas, co-branded with legendary Rock Band KISS.

2014 Began managing The Gene Simmons AXE Bass Experience and working directly with Gene Simmons, in addition to all of the above.

2017 Opened Twilight Zone by Monster Mini Golf at Bally’s Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas

    2021 Released “Every 9 Minutes” A memoir.

  • Repurpose Your Purpose!

    Happy Monday Friends!

Who's ready for the holidays? I am so ready to stuff myself silly on Thanksgiving with family! My next guest has got such a beautiful energy about her. Please welcome my PREMIERE guest Aurora Meneghello. A little bit about Aurora:

I grew up in a small town in Italy and moved to Los Angeles on my own when I was 19 years old. I spent decades trying to “fix myself” or feeling there was something wrong with a world I did not really fit in. This is how I first discovered coaching as a client; and it might be how you too ended up here. To fix what is wrong with you.

I am afraid if you are looking to be “fixed,” you will get no help from me. I could never fix myself because there was nothing to be fixed. Once I awoke to my own Self, to that place inside of me that is already part of everything, my life transformed.

This is what I dedicated my life work to: supporting others in awakening to their own innate wellbeing. Once you see yourself as you truly are, the rest flows. To follow Aurora or to reach out to her, head to the links below:

  • Stronger You Project by Justin Brien

    Happy Wednesday friends!

I have been migrating computers, getting a new phone set up since last week. It has really thrown me for a loop. I almost have everything back to 100% but still trying to get used to my new computer. My next guest is AWE-inspiring! He is very authentic and vulnerable talking about his battle with addiction. Please welcome Justin Brien! A little bit about Justin:

My name is Justin Brien and I am a Mental Health Advocate / Inspirational Speaker and Life Coach working in Salmon Arm BC. For over half of my lifetime, I have been riddled with an endless cycle of addiction stemming from my mental health. I have battled dark nights filled with loneliness and doubt, questioning whether or not I would make it to see my son graduate, ride a bike, or even through the night. It was during this time by my own sheer mental determination and ultimately my will to live and succeed I decided to find my “why” in life.

With that thought, I took my last breath in my old negative and recycled ways and looked to a new future through a better understanding of myself. With discipline and a sheer work ethic, I found it was possible to defeat my mental demons at last.

Now in my new life with my son, and his mother by my side I am able to show him we are enough, each of us, and that we matter. We are not alone. There is a magic in each and every one of us and through the power of sharing my story, my experience and passing on my knowledge to others in support and understanding of what they are going through I am able to help defeat the stigma around mental health.

With my life long experience dealing with these important personal issues, I aim to bring awareness to others who don’t understand and bring hope to those who desperately need it. They matter. You matter. To learn more or to follow him, head to the links below:

  • Weeds Seeds and Beautiful Things

    TGIF Friends!

It is the weekend! We have gotten our first snow of the season today in the Chicagoland area. I have an action packed weekend full of podcast things. I can't wait! My next guest is very open, honest and vulnerable talking about a subject that not many want to talk about. Please welcome my next PREMIERE guest Connie Lawson! A little bit about Connie:

My name is Constance Lawson.  I am a wife to my husband Jerry, and we have a beautiful and miraculous blended family.  My call to speak came when I was very young.  As far back as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for speaking.  However, my dream came to an abrupt halt for over twenty years, due to an autoimmune disorder contracted when I was eleven years old.  The resulting devastation has taken much time, pain, and perseverance to overcome.

I know the pain of mental illness, divorce, abuse, infertility, and burying someone you love, as well as the joy of healing and redemption.  In my speaking, I draw on these experiences to help others find within themselves the strength, faith, and ability to overcome whatever is keeping them stuck.

The purpose of my speaking ministry is to help you realize that your worth and value goes deeper than any struggle you have. I’m a huge mental health advocate and I believe the struggles we face are so much more than an irritating inconvenience. I believe they are the backdrop, the platform, the pathway to our greatest good and deepest walk with the Lord.

I am a woman of faith.  My love for the Lord is the greatest pursuit of my life, with a close second being my love for my family.  I live by the motto, “Keep moving forward,” because I hate sitting still.  I enjoy doing all kinds of art, bright colors, cooking, and baking, and cold rainy days are my favorite.  Finally, I love people, all different kinds of people. I look forward to speaking at your next event.  I know you won’t be disappointed! To contact Connie, head to the links below:

  • Former 10 Year FBI TERRORISM CI tells his story

    Happy Humpday Friends!

This past weekend I interviewed a man that had been sentenced to a life in prison under the armed career criminal act, learned Arabic. While in prison overheard a terrorist attack on a federal building in NY. Released on a 30 day pass to help with the case turned to 10yrs working for the FBI & Secret Service. Johnny is now on a mission to release his story to the world and focused on building a youth opportunity center to help kids like him create a better life.

What I love about his story is that he did not let that “label” of being a criminal stop him from becoming a hero for our country against terrorism. I think he is incredibly brave. Please welcome Johnny Culpepper. To reach out to Johnny see his email below:
