The End in Mind: Personal Development For Entrepreneurs

Labels, Guilt, and Ancesteral Linage

Listen Later

I used to think that healing was a chore. Something that took so much work that I found myself constantly wanting to push it off, or focus on building my business instead, because I used to think that having more money would bring me more peace.

Once I got into business for myself and I actually started making a good amount of income, which took a few years, I still found myself unsatisfied. I actually remember thinking that I didn’t even get to enjoy my success because my business has become so taxing and needed so much of my attention I wasn't able to even celebrate what I had created.

I had started pursuing a life that I thought that everyone wanted, but I quickly realized that even if I had all of the money, all of the opportunities, I still wouldn't be happy with what I built until I was happy with myself or my experiences.

Which led me to think about my family, had they felt the same way once they reached a level of success? Was there still an empty feeling within them that they were unable to fill?
