Mat and Sheena are your run of the mill couple, with 4 kids running a Tradie business in the South Gippsland region. They run a fantastic concreting business named 'Linxcrete' that has grown it's staff by 135% in 12 months, and it's profitability by 250%

Mat & Sheena discuss where they were 3 years ago and the thought that they were successful back then, with Mat and another tradesman working together but not being able to make ends meet and living week by week. Mat recalls a week when they only had $15 left in the bank after paying all the staff.

Now - they don't freak out if a bill comes in, they have savings, steady cashflow and they know what work is projected to come in also.

Mat is a numbers addict - he never used to even know what net profit was, let alone exactly what profit he will make months in advance. He 'just knows em' and he can balance and budget accordingly.

Clare Hall (Donnellon) has always been a chick I have admired since I was a kid. She is a shorty like me, she's outgoing, and people always seem to just click with her.
She was the girl from highschool who was a bit older that you always wished you could be like - she wasn't pretentious, she respected everyone, and her family were always just down to earth legends you enjoyed being around.

Ladies with Tradies has adored Leanne since hearing her story of her 'Billy Goat Soap' business where she shares her vulnerable business story, and her passion for small business. Leanne and her husband John, who is a counsellor, are doing remarkable work in the mental health space.

She is onsite, and understands the construction industry, and is like all of us at LWT - down to earth and relatable.
MATES in Construction is a charity established in 2008 to reduce the high level of suicide among Australian construction workers.  We are unique in that we foster ownership and control of the program with the Australian building and construction industry.

The MATES in Construction program is based on the simple idea that “suicide is everyone’s business” and that if the building and construction industry in Australia is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of workers and to reduce suicide then it cannot be left to the mental health professionals, but rather everyone in the industry must play their part.
