Where Claire and Lis talk about our busy weekend of rugby. It started with training where one player talked to Lis about the passing of time and we met our new loosehead. On Friday, Saints took on a very feisty Castres in a pulsating game at the Gardens. We congratulate the travelling Castres supporters, we talk about flags and one person who was very organised. We talk about the targeting of Henry Pollock and Archie McParland and the to and fro of a fantastic game. We do wax lyrical about the performances of the players and one in particular.
And we talk about the post match stuff where we learned one players loves chocolate. We do choose our Ladies Wot Pod Player of the Match and the Sgt Wilson award (with a follow up from last week).
There is also a plea on behalf all Saints players’ Mums - trauma lurks in unusual places at the Gardens!!
And as a result of your feedback, there’s plenty of input from Dave on his sofa….
On Saturday, we headed to Goldington Road where the Blues were playing Cornish Pirates - it was a cracking game of rugby where we saw several Saintsman and apparently one retired Saint had replaced his son! It was a weekend of Dads playing. We congratulate Will Maisey on his remarkable milestone.
Finally, we look forward to the next games for our teams - it’s going to be a busy time! A Champions Cup quarter final at the Rec for Saints and a trip to Sixways for the Blues.
It’s a bumper edition so the horses and dog walkers will be happy!
Do subscribe , like or give us a rating for the pod - it really helps!
Have a listen and enjoy!
Much love, the Ladies Wot Pod
