This week I chatted with my younger sister Danielle (@danielle.murray) as she opened up about her struggle with PCOS since she was diagnosed at 16. She talks about how it affects her day-to-day life and the impact it can have on her training. Training as a woman can be difficult enough without the added difficulty of PCOS - so if you're a woman and struggle with the same thing, knows someone who does or is a coach who has clients with PCOS, hopefully you have learned something to take away from this podcast. 

Today I caught up with Tracey Collopy (@traytraycolcol). This time last year Tracey started her first-ever fitness challenge and today she runs her own business with 10 employees. We discuss how she got to where she is today and her struggles along the way. Tracey has recently opened up about her struggle with imposter syndrome and talks about what it is and the steps she has taken to try and combat it.

This episode covers a range of different topics, from opening up about mental health, trying to please your peers in schools, relationships and common training mistakes. Although some topics were uncomfortable to discuss this was a really fun episode to record.

Today we chat all things female with our first (male) guest. Lee is one of my older brothers who is also a coach and is the one that got me into training. Growing up with two sisters and having a lot of female clients, Lee is aware of the many day-to-day struggles that women face because of their gender. He wants to help raise awareness around the issue and also further educate himself. In light of the recent campaigning for Women's rights on social media we thought this was a very fitting episode to record. 

An introduction to who I am and what Lady Lifters is. I launched my website (ladylifters.co.uk) last week and decided to start a podcast too, because why not? Lady Lifters is a community for like-minded women to inspire, empower and motivate one another during their fitness journeys. A place to help educate women and try to get rid of all the fitness BS out there. This episode talks about where Lady Lifters came from and I talk a bit about my own fitness journey so far and what got me into lifting.
