Gristle is about that moment you've had enough - enough of someone else narrating your story, enough of being polite so as not to offend, enough of not telling your truth. It's about going the journey of biting down deep into that truth, the pain and ugliness of it, the bits that get stuck in your teeth, the gristle of your story and maybe in that way, starting to let go.
Nicole does a read through of her 12 minute spoken word piece inspired by attitudes toward women without children, the presumptions of others and that particular day when you've had enough!
We had a wonderful conversation with her and our live audience afterward. Enjoy!
