In 2011, she received her MA in Music, with a concentration in Jazz Vocal Performance at Queens College in NYC. She is now making her most magical foray into the national scene of urban adult music with the soulfully crafted EP entitled, ‘Adult Time: Vol 1’, which features masterpiece singles like, "The Assignment", "How Do We Grow", and “Every Man Aint The Same”. Inspired by her personal experiences, the world around her, and her private relationships, these projects were skillfully sculpted by Mavis and producer Eddie Gypsy Stokes. From their inception, DEBONNAIRE MUSIC has crafted their unique brand of "Retro R&B and Soul" music. His classic style and falsetto are reminiscent of the great sounds of the past. SMOOV: Born and raised in Columbia, Maryland. SMOOV serves as the primary lead voice of the group. With his incredible range, velvet tone, and writing skills, he was a welcome addition to the group after singing with other artists in the DC area. From day one his talents propelled the group into a new atmosphere with his unique soulful style and powerful delivery.PHILL: The musical genius behind the group, this musician hails from Washington, DC. He spent his early career playing with such artist/producers such as; Rich Harrison, Chucky Thompson, and Regina Belle, just to name a few. PHILL is a co-founder of the group along with being an accomplished musician who plays multiple instruments.

 Derrick is from Hattiesburg, MS He began his musical career at 15  and was later introduced to the producer/CEO (William Woodard)- aka –“Mr. Woody” of Knock on Wood Records. By Chester Coleman of Point South Entertainment. In 2012, his first single “Who Am I Fooling” was released, “Love Bone” and in 2013 “Help Me Turn This House Into a Home” in 2014. Derrick’s inspiring artists are El Debarge, Michael Jackson, Tyrone Davis, and the late great Johnnie Taylor. He has also participated in shows with other “Southern soul artists”, such as Tucka “the King of Swing” at the VFW in Hattiesburg, MS; and with Big Pokey at the VFW in Pascagoula, MS. In January 2020 his single was released and the name of his hit single is “sexy lady” this single was produced under Heavy House Studios.
