As leader you must learn to gain control of your emotions and not overreact to situations nor handle them the same way as past situations. You must learn to suppress your urge having to always respond and react right away. Left over spaghetti always taste better the next day. Sometime it’s better for you to give yourself a day or a moment to really process what you’re seeing or experiencing. When you overreact, you lose control of the situation, your mind is now clogged up with negativity verses staying neutral.

In order for your team to perform at an optimal level, it’s extremely important to minimize the amount of time they spend dissecting the agenda. As a leader, you must understand that if it’s complicated to you, it’s likely complicated for your team as well. Take the time to make the complex things simpler, so time can be focused on executing!

In this episode, I provided a specific strategy called “start, stop, and continue.” This strategy will help you in times of crisis. When things become chaotic and stressful, this should be your go to, it’s a must have for any leader.
