Ida Mae and Tommy J's Radio Neighboring Wednesdays 8 to 10am had several callers and played a mix of bluegrass and surf twang. On Lawyer Mick Obrand's "Good, Bad, and the Ugly" segment, Mick outlined the historic indictments of the former President in a straight forward and factual delivery. Modine from Texas called to congratulate her sister, Ida Mae, on her weekday show and Brandy Faber let us know that the 57th Brooks Street Classic Surf Contest window opened on June 3rd.

Brandy Faber The waiting period for the 57th Annual Brooks St. Surfing Classic opened last Saturday June 3rd, unfortunately a bombing swell wasn't on tap to get the Classic in the water on the first day of the waiting period! This year's contest T-Shirt was designed by Larry Stewart inspired by his Bull series of paintings. If you aren't familiar with Stewart's work, give him a look as he's really been making a name for himself in the art world and we couldn't be more stoked for him! He can be found at @larrydiditt. Surfing ceramist, @rjlaguna, created the trophies again this year and not sure if they were inspired by the re-opening of the Royal Hawaiian but they are tiki themed and will look great hanging on the winners wall! Jitsu masters, Dan, Dave and Helena came dripping wet from bodysurfing at Pearl Street Beach to let us know the water temp was wonderful for trunking and the water visability was super clear. Mark Freeman's Surf Report was also optomistic. Michelle's hens, however, are having racoons raid their coops.

Bryce Hansen, founder of non-profit "Arts for All" introduced fellow Danamans' musicians to the station! Michelle's rooster Bobs are behaving at Henton and Mark's Surf Report offers varried but fun conditions for catching waves!

"Laguna Tropical Surf" celebrates Mothers' Day with an exlectic collection of tunes that mention Mom, Flowers, Mother Earth and moms riding boogieboards.
