As we worship on Christmas Eve morning, come put yourselves in the shoes of the shepherds as they witnessed the angelic chorus announcing the birth of Christ, and ponder the meaning of three powerful words in this text: Fear, Peace, and Glory.

Come and join the song of Simeon, as "his eyes see the salvation" of the Lord, and as we continue to cherish the Advent season and look expectantly and joyfully to Christmas.

Come and join the song of Zechariah as he "praises the Lord...because he has come to his people and redeemed them."

Come and join Mary's song as "her soul magnifies the Lord and her spirit rejoices in God her Savior."

Whether individually as Christians, or collectively as Churches, conformity to Christ and faithfulness to his message depends on whether we believe his teaching to be the words of God or words of just another teacher. Come and consider what we learn of and from Jesus in Luke's account of the temple cleansing.

As Jesus triumphantly enters Jerusalem, on his headlong journey to the cross, he has need of a colt to ride on, and disciples to direct, not because Jesus is incomplete, but because he delights at including us in his plans. Join us as we celebrate the Savior who works the extraordinary through the ordinary.

Zacchaeus was the least likely person for Jesus to stay with while in Jericho according to our standards, but according to Jesus, he must stay with one like this, for he came to seek and save the lost. Wherever you find yourself, climb up like Zacchaeus and see the one who makes all things new.

When the blind beggar, Bartimaeus, encounters Jesus on the roadside to Jericho, his life is forever changed, and we are given a great picture of the grace of our God and the response he seeks.

As Jesus journeys ever nearer to Jerusalem in Luke's Gospel, what kind of kingdom does he bring? What does he both expect and provide for those who follow? Come and listen as we once again consider the life defining words of Jesus.
