"Who do you say I am?" Mk.8:29 Before a person can truly follow Jesus (become a disciple), one must come to an understanding of who Jesus is. Without this understanding, that includes a revelation of grace, we will only frustrate ourselves as we try to commit to the high standard he sets.

“You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!" Mk.7:9 Traditions, habits, routines, and built-in worldviews affect our spiritual vision. In order to clearly see God, ourselves, and others, we need to regularly examine and assess how our vision is shaped.

he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd Mk.6:34 When exploring the story of Jesus it is impossible to ignore the incredible miracles he did while empowering others to do the same. But the reason behind miracles, great teachings, and sacrificial living can be found in this simple, yet profound, statement.

"Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?" Mk.4:40 Fear and faith often occupy our journey at the same time. When Jesus asks his disciples these two questions he does so to help reveal the reality we all wrestle with when difficult times are upon us. Fear will test us, but who we put our faith in determines how we will respond.

The kingdom of God is always at work, whether we choose to engage with it or not. Jesus offers us an invitation to pursue a deeper relationship with him and the kingdom. How will we respond?

Is.1:18 In regard to sex and sexuality, everyone has opinions and positions primarily formed and informed out of subjective experiences. Is there a "right" and a "wrong"? Sex was designed by God, therefore we would be wise to follow his plan regarding this most intimate of acts.
