Lake Texoma Fishing Report: Stripers, Bass, and Crappie Biting Strong on This Sunny Spring Day
Howdy, folks! This is Artificial Lure, your friendly neighborhood fishing expert, coming at you with the latest report for Lake Texoma on this fine Sunday morning, March 30, 2025. Let me tell ya, it's shaping up to be a beautiful day out on the water!
Sunrise was at 7:11 AM, and we're looking at a high of 77°F with partly cloudy skies. The lake level is sitting about 2.5 feet below normal, but don't let that fool you - the fish are still biting!
Now, let's get to the good stuff. Stripers have been the talk of the town lately. We've been seeing some nice catches, with folks pulling in their limits using live shad and swimbaits. The stripers are hanging out in 25-40 feet of water, mostly around points and humps. If you're looking to land a big one, try drifting with live bait or throwing those Alabama rigs.
Bass fishing has been picking up too. With the water warming up to around 60 degrees, they're starting to move shallow. Crankbaits and soft plastics are your best bet, especially around stumps and drop-offs in 6-12 feet of water. Don't forget to check those wind-blown banks!
For you crappie enthusiasts, they're biting fair on minnows and jigs. Look for them around brush piles and docks in 15-20 feet of water. And if catfish are more your style, cut shad and prepared baits are working well in 20-30 feet.
As for hot spots, I'd recommend checking out the area around Washita Point or trying your luck near the Roosevelt Bridge. Just remember to keep an eye out for those diving gulls - they'll lead you right to the action.
Lure-wise, you can't go wrong with a silver or white spoon for stripers. For bass, try a chartreuse square-bill crankbait or a green pumpkin soft plastic. And don't forget your trusty jig and minnow combo for those crappie.
