Good morning anglers, this is Artificial Lure with your latest Lake Texoma fishing report for Monday, May 26, 2025. Sunrise was at 6:17 AM and sunset will be around 8:31 PM, giving you plenty of daylight to get on the water and chase those big ones.
We have a classic Memorial Day weekend ahead, with the weather warming up fast. Water temp is hovering around 65 to 76 degrees depending on where you set in, and the lake is a bit stained, running about 15 feet above pool on the Oklahoma side and low on the Texas side, so do keep an eye out for floating debris and those submerged trees starting to show up. There’s no real tidal swing here, but expect increased boat traffic throughout the day.
Striper action has been solid lately, especially early and late. Live shad is still king for limits of stripers and white bass on points and humps in 25 to 40 feet of water. If you are hitting it right at daylight, topwater on rocky and windblown points is producing good numbers. As the day gets brighter, try drifting swim baits or white slabs deeper, especially off those creek ledges and main lake humps. Look for bird activity to lead you to feeding schools. The trolling bite has been hit and miss, but casting to visible schools is working for patient anglers. Remember, Texoma has a generous striper limit, so keep it legal and have fun reeling them in[1][3][5].
White bass are still biting well on slabs and soft plastics 20 to 36 feet down, especially around wind-blown points and humps. Crappie are holding on brush and structure in 25 feet of water, and doing well on jigs and minnows, with dark colors getting the nod in muddy water.
The catfish bite is good, with blue cats chasing shad on rocky points and timber in 25 to 55 feet of water. Drifting cut shad or prepared baits will put eater-size blues in the boat, especially off the river channel flats[3].
Largemouth and smallmouth bass are feeding on points and rock piles in 5 to 12 feet. Jigs, swimbaits, soft plastics, and crankbaits are the top picks right now, and crankbaits will grab a hungry striper or white bass, too.
Hot spots to check: Washita Point and the mouth of Big Mineral Creek for early stripers, and the flats near Alberta Creek for catfish and white bass action. For crappie, target brush around Soldier Creek or Little Glasses.
This is Artificial Lure reminding you to pack plenty of water, keep safety first, and enjoy the holiday on mighty Texoma. Tight lines!
