Howdy, y'all! This is Artificial Lure, your local fishin' expert, comin' at ya with the latest scoop on Lake Texoma. It's March 31st, 2025, and let me tell ya, the fishin' has been hotter than a jalapeño popper!
Now, let's talk tides. We're seein' a low tide at 3:45 PM and a high tide at 4:56 PM today. The water level's sittin' pretty at about 2.96 feet below pool, which ain't too shabby.
Weather-wise, we're lookin' at a high of 75°F and a low of 55°F. The sun's gonna peek its head out at 7:13 AM and call it quits around 7:37 PM. It's gonna be a beautiful day to wet a line, I tell ya what!
Now, onto the good stuff - the fish! Stripers have been bitin' like they're goin' out of style. Folks have been haulin' in limits on live shad and cut bait, especially in that 45-65 foot range. If you're feelin' fancy, try thumpin' the boat and runnin' a splasher to get 'em fired up.
Largemouth and smallmouth bass are wakin' up from their winter naps. They're startin' to move shallow, so keep an eye on them points and marina areas. Crankbaits and soft plastics have been doin' the trick.
Crappie fishin's been decent too. Jigs and minnows in 15-20 feet of water are your best bet. And don't forget about them catfish - they're still hangin' out in the deeper water, but they're startin' to get more active.
For you lure lovers out there, I'd suggest tossin' some Alabama rigs, swimbaits, or medium divin' crankbaits. If you're more of a live bait kinda angler, you can't go wrong with shad or minnows.
Now, if you're lookin' for some hot spots, I'd tell ya to check out the Little Mineral arm or the areas near the Willis and Roosevelt bridges. The stripers have been schoolin' up somethin' fierce in those parts.
Remember, folks, the fish are there - you just gotta outsmart 'em! So grab your tackle, head on out to Lake Texoma, and make some memories. This is Artificial Lure, signin' off and wishin' y'all tight lines and big catches!
