Lake Texoma Fishing Report - Stripers, Bass, Crappie, and Catfish Abound!
Hey there, anglers! Artificial Lure here with your Lake Texoma fishing report for March 21, 2025. Let me tell ya, the fishing's been hotter than a firecracker lately!
First off, we've got a beautiful day ahead. Sunrise was at 7:28 AM, and we're looking at partly cloudy skies with a high of 72°F. The wind's gonna be light and variable, perfect for getting out on the water. Sunset's at 7:41 PM, so you've got plenty of daylight to reel in the big ones.
Now, onto the good stuff. The lake level's sitting at about 615 feet, which is just a hair below normal pool. Water temp's hovering around 62°F, and that's got the fish moving and grooving.
Striper fishing has been on fire lately! Folks have been limiting out using live shad on points and humps in 20-35 feet of water. If you're more of an artificial bait kind of angler like myself, swimbaits and Alabama rigs are working wonders on shallow points and creek ledges in 5-15 feet.
The largemouth bass are really starting to heat up with the warmer weather. Plastic worms, jigs, and crankbaits fished around stumps and drop-offs in 6-12 feet of water are your best bet. Don't forget to hit those wind-blown banks!
Crappie fishing's in full swing now. Jigs and minnows fished around brush piles in 8-15 feet of water are producing some nice slabs. I've heard reports of folks catching 30-40 keepers in a day!
For you catfish enthusiasts, the blue cats are on the move. Try drifting cut shad on deep flats off the river channels in 25-50 feet of water. Some real whoppers have been coming in, with a few pushing 40 pounds!
As for hot spots, I'd recommend checking out the Washita River arm near Willow Springs Marina or the points around Eisenhower State Park. The Oklahoma side near Roosevelt Bridge has been producing some monster stripers too. And don't overlook Platter Flats - it's been on fire lately!
Remember, folks, there's more shad in the lake than we've seen in years, so the fish are well-fed and a bit pickier. Patience is key!
