We will bring up in the bucket of our mouth everything that is in the well of our hearts.  Paul now deals with the sins of the mouth in verses 8-9.  These 6 sins are to be "Stripped Off".  Our list of commands continue:  Seek, Set, Set Not, Slay & Strip Off.  Grave Clothes have no place on the living.  "Loose him and let him go!"

"Every unmortified sin will certainly do two things:-- [1.] It will weaken the soul, and deprive it of its vigour. [2.] It will darken the soul, and deprive it of its comfort and peace.” - John Owen then went on to say, "Be Killing sin or sin will be killing you".  In a very frank declaration of the text, Pastor Paul details the violent execution of sexual sins in the life of a Saint.

God's commands are His empowerment.  In this transitional section of Paul's letter to the Colossians, We are reminded of our Co-Resurrection with Christ as the ground of God's empowerment to obey the commands to Seek, Set & Set Not.

Today we finish the teaching through vs 15 of Colossians 2.  Paul deals with our 3 barriers to God:

1:  Our Sin Nature/Old Man - Crucified in Christ (dead)

2:  The Law - which condemns us justly

3:  Satan - our enemy who promotes disobedience to the law

When St. Paul is done, we discover our freedom to live in the Completeness of vs 10
