Avery Bradley decided not to rejoin the Lakers when they had to Orlando, Florida. He has been a big reason the Lakers have the second-best record in the NBA this season. The New Knicks asked Lakers GM Rob Pelinka for permission to speak with Jason Kidd. Kidd is currently an assistant on the Lakers coaching staff, and the Knicks have interest in talking with him about their head coach position. Kyrie Irving led over 80 players who participated in a conference call Friday night. Concerns raised include everything from racial equality to health. The NBA has said they will not punish players who wish to sit out, but some players are adamant their voice hasn't been heard. Players such as Carmelo Anthony of the Portland Trailblazers, Dwight Howard of the Los Angeles Lakers, and Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz spoke up as well.

Resuming basketball is not an easy decision for players. Each player has their own family to consider as well as the broader issues with racial inequality. The Lakers Jared Dudley and Rockets Austin Rivers have shown support in resuming basketball and using that platform to fight against racial issues and police brutality.

The NBA has shared its timeline for resuming the regular season. Training camp will begin on July 9th in Orlando, Florida, including three scrimmage games. Regular season games will start on July 30th.

As more news begins to trickle out, we heard some players do not want to participate in resuming the season. Led by Kyrie Irving, over 80 players participated in a conference call Friday night. Concerns raised include everything from racial equality to health. The NBA has said they will not punish players who wish to sit out, but some players are adamant their voice isn't being heard.
