  • PNEUMA [The Work of the Holy Spirit] Part 1 - The Flow of the Spirit
    By Pastor Brandon Dirmann
    Scriptures (All NKJV)
    - Hebrews 13:20-21 - Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in [b]you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
    - Philippians 2:13 -  for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
    - John 7:37-39 - On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
    - Proverbs 4:23 - Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.
    - Proverbs 27:19 - As in water face reflects face,
So a man’s heart reveals the man.
    - Matthew 12:34-35 - Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

    By Pastor Gil Dirmann
    Scriptures
    - I Corinthians 14:2 (NLT) - ‘For if you have the ability to speak in tongues, you will be talking only to God, since people won’t be able to understand you. You will be speaking by the power of the Spirit, but it will all be mysterious.’
    - I Corinthians 14:14-15 (NLT) - ‘For if I pray in tongues, my spirit is praying, but I don’t understand what I am saying. Well then, what shall I do? I will pray in the spirit, and I will also pray in words I understand. I will sing in the spirit, and I will also sing in words I understand’
    - Romans 8:26 (NLT) - And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.

‘Speaking in tongues’ is the “supernatural" ability to pray, praise or prophesy using language(s) (both human and or Heavenly) that we’ve NEVER LEARNED, and can’t understand, although we’re using them.
3 personal benefits to speaking in tongues
Speaking in tongues helps us to pray and praise beyond the limitations of our natural mind.
Speaking in tongues strengthens our spirit.
Speaking in tongues ‘re-fills’ our spiritual reservoir.

    Scriptures (All NKJV)
    - Matthew 25:41-46 - “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
    - James 1:27 - Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
    - Acts 15:36 - Then after some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us now go back and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they are doing.”

    - Luke 24:48-49 (NKJV) - “And you are witnesses of these things. Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”

    - II Timothy 3:5 (NIV) - "having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them."
    - Acts 2:1-3 NKJV - “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all w/one accord in one place. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them”
    Message Points
Truth 1: Spirit power is real and every Christian needs it.
Truth 2: The power of the Spirit comes from and is regulated by the person of the Spirit.
Truth 3: Spiritual power must be activated by you.
The Holy Spirit often does His most transformative work through a process, and in secret. And, if you focus on the person of the Holy Spirit, He'll make sure that the "pop" is appropriate to the need and the context.
Christians get into error when they...
1...become more excited over the demonstration of the Holy Spirit's power than the intimacy of the Holy Spirit's presence.
2...confuse the power of the Holy Spirit with the pop of pickle jar (the reaction of people).

  • PNEUMA [The Person of the Holy Spirit] Part 4 - The Holy Spirit’s Heart For You
    By Pastor Gil Dirmann
    Scriptures
    - James 4:4-10 (NKJV) - Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? 6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Humility Cures Worldliness 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

  • Free, Kind Of
    By Pastor Brandon Dirmann
    Scriptures (All NKJV)
    - Mark 5:1-20 -  Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes. 2 And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, 3 who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains, 4 because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. 5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.
6 When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. 7 And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.” 8 For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!” 9 Then He asked him, “What is your name?”
And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.” 10 Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country. 11 Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains. 12 So all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.” 13 And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea.
14 So those who fed the swine fled, and they told it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that had happened. 15 Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid. 16 And those who saw it told them how it happened to him who had been demon-possessed, and about the swine. 17 Then they began to plead with Him to depart from their region.
18 And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him. 19 However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.” 20 And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marveled.
    - Luke 4:18-19 - “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
    Because He has anointed Me
    To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
    To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
    - John 19:30 - So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
    - John 8:36 - Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
    - 2 Corinthians 3:17 - Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
    - 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 - For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
    - 1 Samuel 15:23 - For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,
He also has rejected you from being king.”
    - 1 Samuel 16:14 - But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled him.
    - 1 John 5:19 - We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.
    - Proverbs 4:23 - Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.
