WHEN GOD SENDS HARD TIMES:  Hard times happen.  It helps to think of them as tests.  We can learn and grow through testing.

NOT YOUR BEST LIFE NOW:  The 10 commandments are not about you.  They are about your neighbor. The purpose of the law is not “your best life now,” but rather your neighbor’s best life now. 

THE OTHER GODS:  The ten commandments, when followed, liberate us from the tyranny of the devil.

NINETEEN COMES BEFORE 20:  We do not keep the commandments for our own pleasure or benefit.  Rather, we keep them as a way to love God and neighbor.  This helps us fulfill what Jesus taught regarding the most important commandments.

THE GOOD FIGHT:  It is the duty of every follower of Jesus to present the central teachings of the Scriptures with clarity to all who might be interested.  We will be generously rewarded

APPROVED AND USEFUL:  Don’t be distracted by senseless arguments.  Instead, focus on the good news of the gospel and how it transforms lives.  Be able to teach it.  You will find that you have become approved and useful.

Every once in a while, we need to give our faith a boost.  It is our individual responsibility to “fan the flames” of our faith.

RIGHT ON THE MONEY:  Wealth is a gift from God intended to be used to take care of yourself and to be used in God’s redemption process.

PUBLIC SINNER NUMBER ONE:  Jesus came into the world to save sinners.  That includes you and me.  Let’s rejoice in our great salvation.
